HYUNDAI SANTRO XING
The Santro is a legend as much as it is a car. It was first introduced in1999 and it changed the face of the small car market in India. It has got a magnificent driving capability with a small but peppy 1086cc 4-cylinder engine producing 63bhp. The Santro’s low weight of 854kg makes it easy for the car to accelerate and handles very well. It has also got a comfortable seating arrangement with lots of head and leg room. Its ground clearance of 164mm also makes it the ideal car for also Indian driving conditions. To top it off the Santri also has an ideal average fuel economy of 15kmpl.
Performance
The Hyundai Santro Xing is powered by a 1.1 litre, 1086cc, 4 cylinder, SOHC, petrol engine that offers maximum power of 63 Ps at 5000 rpm and belts out peak torque of 96 Nm at 3000 rpm. It is coupled with a five speed manual transmission. The power plant of the car is added with a number of power and fuel enhancing technologies. The Active Intelligence Technology, powering the engine, comprises of three innovative systems that includes Rotary Head Intelligent Valve Actuator, the Differentially Programmed Intelligent Injection and Real Time Intelligent Ignition system.The Rotary Head Intelligent Valve Actuator ensures sufficient fuel distribution to engine in various driving requirements which results in better mileage and power. In the same way, the Real Time Intelligent Ignition ensures perfect time to ignite the fuel and air mixture for higher power, mileage and low emissions. In addition to this, the Differentially Programmed Intelligent Injection intelligently provides accurate amount of required fuel to the mill for better mileage and power. The Hyundai Santro Xing is also available in LPG variants and CNG kits.

User speach
Prior to this car I had Maruti 800. When I purchased this car I had many apprehensions how the performance, maintenance and yes of all we are concerned fuel efficiency (average) of the car. I did lot of home work and bought Santro Xing. Trust me guys I am very happy with the performance, you talk of comfort , handling, maneuvering, it’s just fantastic. I have even driven the car at speed of 140Km/Hr fantastic road handling. Average is pretty decent city 12-13km/ltr., Highway 18-20 km/ltr.,An attempt to review my existing car in terms of Performance,Ride and handling with Santro Xing XO version which might be useful to other reviewers similiar to my car. My car is giving a fantastic mileage of 19kms/Litre in Highway ride and 17kms/Litre within the city ride. More Details
